Sigrid Haanshus (born in 2002) became famous to the Norwegian people
when she participated in the TV-show Norske Talenter (Norway’s Got
Talent) in the autumn of 2015, where she obtained Gullknapp (the Golden
Buzzer) from the jury for her interpretation of I dreamed a dream from
Les Misérables. She became later a finalist in the same competition.
Sigrid’s Golden Buzzer audition is one of the most seen videos ever from
Norske Talenter.

She got the honour in November 2016 to sing The National Anthem of
Norway, Ja vi elsker, a cappella for the King of Norway Harald V and
Prime Minister Erna Solberg at the cup final of the Norwegian
championship in football 2016 for women in Telenor Arena in Oslo.

In the summer of 2017 Sigrid was chosen by NRK (The Norwegian Public
Broadcasting company) to sing in their live TV-show Sommeråpent.

Sigrid’s first record, the single The Prayer, was released in March

2015, where she was singing a duet together with Stephen Brandt-Hansen,
one of Scandinavia’s best tenors. Many singles have been released since
then as well as a compilation album with all her songs so far. Her
compilation album has been published both digitally as well as on CD.

Her repertoire includes many classics, songs from musicals as well as
film music, but also national romantic pearls, pop music and of course
Christmas songs at that time of the year.
